GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and Supervise the MEAL Unit teams in the Bases;
• Implement the MEAL Units structure, resources and tools and conduct multi-sector assessments, providing sector guidance and capitalizing the lessons learnt;
• Liaise, coordinate and share with other agencies ongoing assessments country-wide;
• Support the roll out of ACF accountability framework and enlarged feedback mechanisms;
• Support the mission in conducting programmatic evaluations and capitalising on ongoing activities
• Support the follow up of the Mission Strategy framework, ensuring standardization of indicators and beneficiary counting
• Support the mission on gender mainstreaming in all departments following the Gender Action Plan

Key activities in your role will include

• Coordinate Action Against Hunger's MEAL Units in the Bases
• Implement the MEAL Unit?s structure and tools and conduct multi-sector assessments, providing sector guidance and capitalizing the lessons learnt 
• Strengthen the MEAL culture in the mission through capacity building (intra and inter-department) and exchange with other missions and HQ
• Liaise, coordinate and share with other agencies ongoing assessments country-wide
• Support the roll out of the Accountability framework for the mission
• Support the implementation of evaluations and support the mission in capitalising on its lessons learned
• Support the follow up of the Mission Strategy framework, ensuring standardization of indicators and beneficiary counting
• Support the mission on gender mainstreaming in all departments and projects

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?

• University degree on a field related (WASH, FSL and CBI)
• Extensive experience on project cycle management, research, data gathering and management, quantitative/qualitative analysis and English reporting.
• Experience on humanitarian needs assessments would be an asset.
• Gender mainstreaming related experience
• At least 2 years of experience within humanitarian organisations, in project cycle management and in MEAL Positions or tasks
• Fluent English mandatory, Arabic an asset
• Able to work under Windows OS.Proficiency on the basic office tools (at least Word and Excel)
• Knowledge on databases and mobile data collection systems (ODK, GRASP) would be desirable
• Required skills : Analytical Capacity, Working towards objectives, motivation, teamwork, effective communication, Organizing and Planning, Adaptability and Flexibility, Strategic vision

Our remuneration package:

We offer you to join a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:

Base: Beirut

• Salary: from 1700  to 2200 euros gross per month according to candidate's previous experience (according to standard list of Action Against Hunger - Spain). Action Against Hunger - Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal.

• Up to 20% additional remuneration depending on the position?s context and responsibilities (according the grading scale set by Action Against Hunger)
• House and maintenance covered by the organization (including per diem): package estimated according to the destination.
• Travel costs to and from the mission.
• 25 working days of paid leave per year.
• Break. additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215 euros
• Health, repatriation, travel and life insurance covered by the organization.
• Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100 to 225 euros monthly (according to standard list of Action Against Hunger - Spain).
