The Chief of Party will be responsible to lead the consortium ensuring that the objectives of the USAID funded Marawi Response Programme are met. As such, they will need to work with consortium partners, USAID and government entities, providing direction and strategic leadership to the programme to ensure its successful implementation.

Key activities in your role will include

  • Ensure the strategic management of the programme through regular reviews and assessments in collaboration with consortium partners and USAID.
  • Represent the programme in front of government entities and other key stakeholders to ensure their appropriate engagement and support.
  • Ensure managerial oversight of the programme to deliver the objectives within the available resources and on time.
  • Work with consortium partners to conduct regular operational reviews of the programme, identifying potential issues and problems and agreeing on corrective actions.
  • Ensure the efficient financial management of the programme in line with USAID financial compliance rules.
  • Maintaining oversight of field activities through regular visits and assessment.
  • Ensure that technical recommendation and review findings are integrated into programme activities.
  • Work with consortium partners to ensure timely reporting as required by USAID.

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?

  • Degree in relevant area of expertise or international development is preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of USAID approaches and regulations;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing, managing and implementing large and complex programs, preferably with USAID;
  • Previous experience as a Chief of Party for a multi NGO consortium;
  • Command of issues related to the humanitarian system and International cooperation.
  • General knowledge of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Windows domain (especially: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Mobility: yes.
  • Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.

Our remuneration package:

We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:

Formal work contract: 24 months.

Base: Iligan or Marawi city (the Philippines)

Compensation packaged: from 28.632,0  to 34.632,0 euros gross/year divided in 12 payments and based on experience y context. This salary includes a base salary + context plus + living expenses and per Diem (*)

(*) in local currency subject to unexpected changes in currency exchange.

 In addition:

  • Guest House or similar accommodation covered by the organization
  • Travel costs to and from the mission.
  • Expat Health, repatriation, travel and life insurance covered by the organization
  • Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100 to 225 euros monthly (according to standard list of Action Against Hunger -Spain).
  • Break: additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215 euros.
  • 25 working days of paid leave per year.
