You'll contribute to ending world hunger by ...

Head of the financial and administrative management of Big Projects in Syria, coordinating and leading the Admin team, which includes both ACF and other members. In charge of assuring the administrative and financial procedures according to ACF-Spain rules and the local law.

Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: Responsible for an appropriate financial management on Big Projects

  • To update the budget follow up (BFU) on a regular basis, producing relevant KPIs.
  • To follow the financial planning, notably through the regular update of its forecasts based on inputs from different partners/departments.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of the analytical accounting (codification, use, etc.) and the correct allocation of funds
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing any budgetary modification.
  • Responsible for preparing ACH financial reports as well as compiling other partners financial reports and preparing and consolidating donor financial reports.
  • Anticipate, control, monitor and/or mitigation of any financial risks linked to implementation, especially regarding to exchange rate, tax and legal obligations, execution and donor rules compliance.
  • Follow up from a financial point of view any procurement linked to the partnership

Objective 2: Ensure a correct and reliable accountancy

  • Supervise and validate the monthly closing of the accountancy, following ACF internal procedures and according to the established deadlines, both for ACF and the partnership
  • Assure the respect of the administrative and financial procedures established by ACF-E
  • Responsible for the appropriate archive and control of the quality of all supporting documents to the accounting transactions registered

Objective 3: Overall treasury management

  • Define the treasury flows within the Cash Management (CMP) and supervise its correct implementation.
  • Proactive management of the treasury flows, in particular follow up of payments
  • Manage relationship with banks.

Objective 4: Coordination, support and training on all financial and administrative issues

  • Train in main guidelines and produce all needed documents and tools regarding guidelines and financial management
  • Supervise on a monthly basis a sample of invoices and its prove of payment

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?

  • Higher education in Business administration, Finance
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in financial management and at least 3 years in the humanitarian sector
  • Experience in drafting budgets, financial reports, budget follow up and audit reports
  • Proven experience in team management and team coordination
  • Experience in project management, especially in international contexts and working with institutional donor funding
  • Proven experience working with and training international and local counterparts
  • English Advanced; Arabic is a plus
  • MS Office very strong command. Very advanced level of Excel. Experience with accounting programs like Agresso or others
  • Mobility: national and international

We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:

  • Formal work contract: 2 years from starting date
  • Base: Beirut
  • Excellent remuneration package

  • Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100 to 225 Euros monthly (according to standard list of Action against Hunger -Spain).
  • Break: additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215 Euros.
  • 25 working days of paid leave per year.
