To manage, coordinate and implement all the activities under the Project Increasing Resilience of Partners to Natural Induced Disasters or I-RESPOND a 2 year project funded by KNH which will be implemented to 25 NGOs covering selected provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Key activities in your role will include

1. To manage, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate all activities related to the project

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project activities in coordination with the DRR Coordinator, Technical Coordinator
  • Lead in the coordination with KNH including its 25 local NGO partners and other stakeholders and ensure timely implementation of the planned activities as described in the project
  • Lead in the development and implementation of capacity building training design and modules to KNH NGO partners
  • Lead in the development and implementation of coaching/mentoring and sharing and learning framework among KNH NGO partners

2. To prepare work plan/reports and consolidate of documents

  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual planning and updating or progress and achievements (both narrative and financial) in coordination with the DRR Referent following ACF template such as APR;
  • Contribute in the donor interim and final reports and submit following the Mission Reporting System
  • Develop and maintain database of photos, videos and other multimedia documents related to the project
  • Prepare meeting minutes related to the Project
  • Organize archiving of project documents for easy access to all project information

3. Participate to seminars, conferences activities related with DRR in the Philippines as necessary

  • As requested by ACF and KNH and approved, alone, or together with the DRR-CCA Referent and Technical Coordinator to actively participate in DRR/climate and Self Help Group-related events
  • Disseminate relevant project information to the technical teams at Capital and Base level as necessary
  • Actively search for local capacities with potential to give and add value to the project (NGO, institutions, universities, etc.)

4. Reporting & Security

  • Adhere to the Mission Reporting system and submit on time the reports requested
  • Respect the Security rules of ACF and coordinate with the Head of Base for any security issues relating to work
  • Consolidate annual technical reports of ACF project teams and of partners

5. Emergency Response

  • Be able to render service especially in emergency response in case of disasters in the Philippines.

Do you meet the profile required criteria?


  • A degree in social science, environmental science, natural resource management, or other related discipline (master´s degree an advantage).

Technical specific knowledge:

  • Capacity to work autonomously in close coordination with the DRR/CCA Referent, Technical Coordinator and other relevant coordinators related to the Project
  • Strong facilitation skills on capacity building related to DRR and CCA Previous experience (years):
  • Experience of at least 5 years in a similar position.
  • Strong experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; capacity building and project management;
  • Experience in management in insecure context with capacity to face a stressful situations
  • At least 2 year of experience of work in (I) NGOs is necessary.

Humanitarian sector knowledge:

  • At least 5 years experience of work in (I)NGO is necessary


  • Excellent in written and spoken English
  • Tagalog (local language in the working area is an asset).

IT systems:

  • Computer skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet)

Mobility (national/ internacional):

  • Willing and able to travel extensively in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao

Commitment to Gender Equality:
